Appeals & Corrections Policy
DRAFT — REQUIRES REVIEW BY QUALIFIED COUNSEL IN [JURISDICTION] BEFORE USE. Not legal advice. Not a substitute for a lawyer.
Version: 1.0.0-draft · Status: not in force · Baseline: GDPR-grade
Why this exists
Assessments are produced with AI assistance. AI output can be wrong, and a wrong finding published about your application is a real harm. This policy is how you get that corrected. It is free, it is available to every customer including free-tier customers, and using it never counts against you.
What you can appeal
- A specific finding you believe is factually wrong, mis-scoped or already remediated;
- A severity or confidence rating;
- An overall score or a certification decision;
- A refusal to assess;
- A badge suspension or revocation.
How to appeal
Open an appeal from the report or badge in your console, stating the grounds. You will be asked for at least a short explanation, because "I disagree" is not something we can act on. Attach evidence if you have it.
What we do
- Acknowledgement within 2 business days.
- Review by a person who was not the original reviewer, wherever staffing allows.
- Decision within 14 days of acknowledgement. If we need longer we will say so, and why.
Outcomes: upheld (finding withdrawn or amended, score recomputed, badge reinstated), partially upheld, or rejected with reasons.
What happens to the record
If a finding is withdrawn, it is removed from the published report and marked withdrawn in the audit log — the log is append-only, so the correction is added, never a deletion of the original. Scores are recomputed against the same rubric version the assessment originally used. If a badge was suspended in error, it is reinstated and the reinstatement is recorded as a badge event.
Corrections we initiate
If we discover an error ourselves, we correct it on the same terms and tell you, whether or not the correction is in your favour. A score that was too generous is corrected as readily as one that was too harsh.
If you are still unsatisfied
Escalate to [CONTACT_EMAIL] for a final internal review. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have to a court or a supervisory authority.
